This display, located within the Story of Virginia exhibition, features nineteen portraits of individuals with various disabilities that are part of the capABLE campaign started by Next Move—a nonprofit organization that provides job training and related education to young adults with disabilities. The selected models are advocates, artists, business owners, working professionals, athletes, volunteers and students. The portraits were captured by professional photographers throughout Richmond in various locations tied to each model’s story. To learn more about each model’s remarkable story, visit www.thenextmoveprogram.com/capable/. The portraits will be on display at the VHS until September 4, 2017.
